Today is the day…
January 6th, 2005So today is electoral college day.
Much anticipation over the past few weeks to see which senator, or IF a senator would stand up and sign an objection with the represenatives already objecting.
So as most who care, are already watching, and saw that Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-California) joined the objection. On to the house floor for the debate and I have to say, I'm totally disgusted and appalled at what the republican side of the aisle is saying. "get over it" "if we were talking about 118 votes, and not 118,000 votes" yada yada...accusing the left of causing doubt on the process. There has been doubt since 2000! One jerk even said there is no way that what went on in Ohio could have changed the election. Well I guess we'll never know since thousands of people were denied their right to vote! Most complaining that this is a waste of time..
ITS THE PROCESS STUPID! THIS is the first step to real election reform!
Read the report in pdf format entitled "What Went Wrong In Ohio"
Am I bitter? Yeah I still am. I still contend that George W. Bush is nothing more than a criminal, as is the rest of his family and his villian sidekick Karl Rove. The entire republican agenda is detrimental to all Americans and it makes me sad that intelligent people I know and love, would stand behind a piece of shit like GWB, voting against their own personal interests.
I've always been open about my voting choices, admitting that I would vote for a decent republican. That has changed. I see now, that all they care about is partisanship, and crushing the rights of Americans for their own party's gain (faulty, in their favor, voting process)
*sigh*
The Stepford Americans, nothing to see here, no fraud, look away. But hey..they CHEATED in the Ukraine! Do something!
