Mindless knitting
March 18th, 2005I've come down from the anger high over ruining the wool/angora yarn. Seriously. Although it still pains me that its trashed, I do have ONE ball left that I had already hand washed in the sink (its actually already on the needles making a lacy scarf)
The boys and I made another jaunt to the thrift store this morning in search of ripping sweaters. Nothing much but acrylic this time, except for a lovely wine colored 100% wool cabled number. The yarn looks about dk or sport weight. We'll see after I get it pulled apart and can swatch it.
Last night while watching The Incredibles with the kids I needed some mindless knitting. So I cast on a newborn Little Turtle Knits Pilot Cap. One of the mamas in the moms group had a baby girl yesterday (On St Pats Day!) and no baby should be without a LTK Pilot Cap!
Here it is in some colorful cotton...
And no the little boy holding the dino bones thingamajig is not included
OH! Happy Birthday PawPaw! (Nana, I know your reading this. I told him Happy Birfday this morning but please pass on some more salutations!)
