quickie post (again)
April 5th, 2005Yeah its like living in the seventh circle of hell around here lately. Just when I think I know what chaos is,....WHAM, another round of it.
So since I'm being bugged with "I've been checking your blog, but no posts...is anything wrong?" sort of emails I'm making a quickie entry.
The latest mess? No not snow...its the new four letter word...RAIN. Of course right after the rain stopped...it DID snow believe it or not. Mother Nature is just mocking me...I know it.
Anyway...we got back from PA Sunday afternoon, passing towns completely under water, all along hoping everything would be fine at home. Sure enough upon exiting the interstate, our road is closed. The guy manning the road closure informs us that the cross road is also closed (we live on a corner). He then routes us up over the mountain and down so that we can get to the house. Everything seems fine. The flood water behind the house was still a decent distance away. The basement however was flooded and creeping ever so slowly up and putting the well pump, water heater and furnace in danger.
Anyway...basement was pumped out and again today its back up to the same level. Of course we have a LAKE in the front yard too and although the rain has stopped, everything is draining down the hill and collecting in said basement.
So, I'm really ready for a vacation. A real one..you know with sand, sun and really strong drinks sporting paper umbrellas. But for now, I'll stay busy checking the water level in the basement, dyeing yarn, and counting the minutes until the next "Lost" episode (Wednesday night! Dear friends of mine addicted to "Lost", please tell me you did catch the new episode last week!) I swear I stay up at night trying to figure out this show!
Around a year ago on this day..

I know…I am looking forward to it too. It’s seems like Claire would NEVER have her baby…and to find out the light…oh…and if he got back there could he still walk? Or was he just really full of inner turmoil and rage.
Locke is my favorite character.
