Apron top done…

May 31st, 2005

I finished it up last night around midnight. Overall I'm happy with it, with minor exceptions. I'll omit the single crochet around all edges next time. I just don't like crochet at all...doing it or the look of it. And I'll also remember not to use addis when knitting cotton tots. Talk about slippery. So I ended up with some loose stitches. I think I can firm it up with blocking...we'll see. The ends still need to be woven in and I'll get to that sometime today.

On today's knitting agenda, Tracy's honeymoon cami. I'd like to get it done ASAP.

I love this color. So since I have so much of it now, I'm going to try to make a matching hat.

And speaking of Cotton Tots, yet another trip to Evil Mart (I know, for a person that hates that store as much as I do, I sure go there a lot huh?) I snagged another  4 skeins of Cotton Tots at my local store. I thought I bought it all up the last time I was there, but they must have found more hiding. I didnt buy it all this time. Just enough in blue to compliment my already huge stash of Cotton Tots. As Richard raised an eyebrow, then the conversation went like this...

Richard: Ummm...didn't you say you were done buying yarn after you got all that stuff in the mail the other day?

Me: (whining) but this is COTTON, what I got in the mail is WOOL. And they're discontinueing this yarn! And its my favorite staple cotton! Its clearance price!

Richard: So why arent you buying it all?

Me: I already have a lot at home, but not a lot of this color

(Richard raises eyebrow again as I re-think tossing it ALL in the cart)

I sighed and walked away, proud with myself for limiting the yarn consumption!
