As she is no longer the "only little girl in the family".

My brand spankin' new neice, Olivia Caroline was born just a half hour ago. 8lbs, 10oz, 18.5" inches long, after about 13 hours of labor. My sister Jill is doing great, and from what I hear, Olivia has a head full of hair, and a really big mouth

I'm delighted that everyone is healthy and all that..but I am bummed. I actually COULD have gone down today for the birth since Richard's office is closed because of a power outage, and hes been home all day. BUT, Cassidy's school had a kindergarten family day thing we had to attend. Lunch on the lawn, complete with music and dancing, hula hoop and twist contests. The hokey pokey, the chicken dance...you get the picture. It was followed by the "letter parade" where all the kindergarteners dressed up in costumes dedicated to a letter. Cassidy was an angel and the letter A. I have tons of pictures, but have yet to upload them to the computer.

We got home at 2:45PM, Olivia was born at 3:25. So even if I left right away, I wouldnt have made it there in time. Instead, we'll probably go down tomorrow after Jill gets some rest.
