The quest for safe and effective butter storage
August 24th, 2005You would think that a butter dish would be relatively easy to find,...right? I'm on my third butter dish in two years. Plain Corning glass one, that inevitably slips out of my hands because of its lack of square corners or a handle, then smashes to the counter.
So because we can, we're heading to Ithaca today to stop in at least Bed Bath & Beyond, on a quest for a butter dish with square corners and/or a handle.
Annnnd, I need to find a better place to buy wine. I'm craving some more Sofia Rose`. Thus far, the only place I've found it, is at the spirts shop in Clarks Summit, PA. Thats a really long drive for a bottle of wine!
I have a knitting update, maybe later this afternoon/evening. I've finished a pair of cabled organic shorts, frogged and re-knit the hem on a pair of eco pants (they're now picot trim capris), ripped back the soaker in my Georgia O'Keeffe theme yarn (it wasnt knitting the right gauge) back to just 2 inches under the waistband. I'll be re-working these into shorts. And I've already got a lilly style flower, knit and assembled and ready to sew on the leg of the eco pants.
