Connor’s assessment

Assessment update...
Early Intervention was here this morning for his physical and speech assessment. As expected, he "passed" the physical. Our coordinator was SHOCKED to see how well hes moving now, compared to her last visit (just a few weeks ago!) before he started taking steps. Although hes still "behind" on the physical, he still falls into range.
The speech however, puts him at the 10month range, so hes been referred for speech therapy, and possibly teaching. I'm not 100% certain what the "teacher" referral is, but I'm assuming, because he lands on the lower end of the spectrum for fine motor skills, though within range, it might help the other areas. They did make note that he might have been putting all his effort into the physical, and now that hes moving, his speech might pick up. His problem solving skills were great. It was great fun to see him so social with them (totally showing off!) and doing more complicated games than we usually use at here at home.

We'll have the formal referral soon via the mail, then the planning meeting. Once that's all done, we'll start scheduling the therapies recommended.
