1. Are you a yarn snob (do you prefer higher quality and/or natural
fibers)? Do you avoid Red Heart and Lion Brand? Or is it all the same
to you?
Hate to call myself a snob, but probably so. I do not use acrylic yarn, unless is a blend of some type from a higher end manufacturer. I do use the occasional Lion Brand specialty yarn (suede, or sometimes woolease)
2. Do you spin? Crochet?
I've tried drop spindle and I must be an idiot, just can't do it. And crochet...whats that? Seriously, I've tried, I don't find it comfortable.
3. Do you have any allergies? (smoke, pets, fibers, perfume, etc.)
No allergies, but I hate smelly yarn (smoke, etc, but perfumey doesnt bother me so much)
4. How long have you been knitting?
Three years now? give or take.
5. Do you have an Amazon or other online wish list?
Not yet, but I'm happy to put one up if that helps my pal
6. What's your favorite scent? (for candles, bath products etc.)
patchouli most definitely. jasmine, lavender, sandalwood
7. Do you have a sweet tooth?
of course 
8. What other crafts or Do-It-Yourself things do you like to do?
I love to sew, but with small children, cannot find the time easily to devote to it.
9. What kind of music do you like? Can your computer/stereo play MP3s? (if your buddy wants to make you a CD)
I'm a deadhead (The Grateful Dead) I love Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Dar Williams, Victoria Williams, Nora Jones, Dave Matthews Band.
10. What's your favorite color? Or--do you have a color family/season/palette you prefer? Any colors you just can't stand?
My favorite color is probably sage green. But I'm partial to most neutral/earthy/fall tones. And I'm not a fan of pink, in any shade (though earthy purples are lovely!)
11. What is your family situation? Do you have any pets?
One husband, four kids, one cat.
12. What are your life dreams? (really stretching it here, I know)
Kind of late in life here to "start over" but I put off all sorts of things to be wife and mommy. Once my youngest is a bit older, I hope to go back to school and finish up. I *dream* of Civil Rights law, progressive politics, social work. Not really sure. Something where I would "make a difference" in someone's life.
13. What is/are your favorite yarn/s to knit with?
Anything natural! Though I'm partial to soft wools. I've been knitting with Blackberry Ridge merino lately and enjoy it. And I pet some Cashsoft recently and I think I'm in love.
14. What fibers do you absolutely *not* like?
Acrylic.
15. What is/are your current knitting obsession/s?
Socks maybe? Or anything cabled.
16. What is/are your favorite item/s to knit?
something interesting. plain stockinette and garter bore me and I lose interest. I think its why I like cables.
17. What are you knitting right now?
A few pairs of socks, a cable scarf, and about to start a whole family of weasley sweaters for the kids for Christmas
18. What do you think about ponchos?
I don't think about them I don't think I've worn one since I was 4 and don't have plans to ever wear one again.
19. Do you prefer straight or circular needles?
Definitely circular
20. Bamboo, aluminum, plastic?
I use mostly addi turbos, but prefer bamboo for some projects (cotton is too slick on turbos!)
I prefer short dpns for socks and mostly use crystal palace, but am newly in love with the 5" brittany birch needles
21. Are you a sock knitter?
yep!
22. How did you learn to knit?
My grammy taught me.
23. How old is your oldest UFO?
nearly 3 years old.
24. What is your favorite animated character or a favorite animal/bird?
Not sure I have a favorite animated character. If I had to choose one, err, maybe Woody from Toy Story. Animal or bird? I love rottweilers and golden retrievers.
25. What is your favorite holiday?
Definitely Christmas
26. Is there anything that you collect?
antique sewing machines (treadles/hand cranks) and anything with daisies on it
27. What knitting magazine subscriptions do you have?
Interweave Knits, Mothering Magazine, The Nation
28. Any books out there you are dying to get your hands on?
Hmm, All of the Barbara Walker treasuries, the new harlot book, any sock book other than the one I have (Knitting On The Road)
29. Any patterns you have been coveting, but haven't bought for one reason or another??
I've seen a few beaded sock patterns but have resisted the buy button so far. And despite my intention to someday foray into lace knitting, I've also resisted buying any lace shawl patterns.
