Just for the day though!

We're headed to the Binghamton Zoo on our way to New Milford to celebrate Cassidy's birthday at the camp. I'd say I'll have pics later, but the new battery didn't  fix the camera issue. Theres a short or loose connection somewhere in there. It works, but takes some fiddling, meaning no more candid cute shots of the kids until we fix it or replace it.

Anyway, back to the zoo. Our original plan was to go to Rosamond Gifford Zoo in Syracuse on Friday but gas was up to $3.70 here. We figured we could just hit the Binghamton Zoo today on our way to the party since we're having to drive that way anyway.  I'm sure the kids would like the zoo in Syracuse better. Bigger more recognizable animals and such. And from the parents point of view, the cost is the same for admission for both zoos. So I'm bummed. For the same price tag, although using less gas, we're going to a less than great zoo. Another great reason to LOVE Madison. Henry Vilas Zoo in Madison is awesome...and free.

Cassidy's birthday...was Friday. We had a great day. We spent time at the park, and at her request, went out to dinner for Chinese. Once we got home, we sang happy birthday and enjoyed cupcakes (or pupcakes as Alex would call them!) For her birthday so far, she got some new rollerblades (really, its all she wanted and shes quite excited!) a new bike/skating helmet, new pad set (knee, elbow, gloves) And a package from Nana & Papa in Wisconsin of new school clothes!
