Whats this? KNITTING CONTENT?
September 2nd, 2005Yes you read that right. Real knitting content.
I've finished sock one for my sock pal, after only three days of working on it. Its "Whidby" from Nancy' Bush's Knitting On The Road. I used pink Cascade Fixation and it worked out very nicely. The row gauge was off, but thats not all that important except for the heel flap.
I'll try to snap a pic tomorrow during daylight. But our camera is on the fritz (something with the lithium batteries) It came out lovely
And the second sock was cast on today while sitting at the park watching the kids play.
And I started a shawl. Not a traditional shawl though. Its the Paisley Lace Shawl from the Spring IK. I'm using worsted cotton though, and it will not be a shawl, but a baby's blanket
Its coming along nicely..that is if I can keep interest in it!

Thanks for the offer of yarn, but I need to get rid of some before I get more. I do like the LB Jiffy. I like the way it works and feels. I have to crochet (not into knitting) 3 more twin size blankets in that horrible Red Heart for the grandchildren. Cass says it will be okay to change types of yarn(since I didn’t know any better yarn existed) but am not sure I should do. Have to be careful to try to treat equally even tho Cass says I am a miserable failure in that area. She hasn’t actually said but implied. My only defense is ‘you love those that love you’.
