Secret Pal Package almost ready
October 2nd, 2005I spent today sewing up the sock needle roll for my secret pal. It came out lovely (in my opinion) Each time I make one, I can think of something I'll do different next time. Today was no exception.
So whatta ya think? The top flap folds down to help hold the needles in place. Once its folded down, its only about 7" high, just right for most sock double pointed needles. Inside it are the 6" Plymouth Bamboo US2s that I picked up for my Secret Pal.

And here is whats going out to her tomorrow, sans one item (some ultra delish dark chocolate from Gertrude Hawk. I gotta run into town to get it yet!)
One 8oz hank of Henry's Attic Licorice Twist dyed by me. A cute little wire bound journal. Sock needles. The sock needle roll. And a cedar sachet I whipped up with some leftover fabric. (DH had oodles of cedar shavings from making my cedar blocks for my ottoman and wool bins.)
This is only package one of three that I have planned. This was LOADS of fun and I can't wait to start working on package number two!

This is my first time doing a Secret Pal swap and its so much fun finding odds, ends and gifties to surprise my pal
By the way, I am still in love with my socks
My sister complimented me on them this past weekend, and insisted I get your pattern so I can make her a pair.
