Sorry, not much to say the past few days

October 1st, 2005

The germs have invaded, yet again. Connor had just gotten over it, and yet another wave struck. This time it even got Richard (its pretty rare for him to get sick!) So with that said, we all feel pretty miserable.
So, not much going on. I had hoped to have pictures of the awesome storage ottoman Richard MADE FOR ME for our anniversary, but its not quite done (all that is left at this point, is the hinges for the lid.
And some pics of the shawl/wrap/stole that is on the needles... (Branching Out from knitty, triple repeat of the lace pattern) But I'm too lazy and miserable to get the camera out (maybe tomorrow)

I did do a yarn store run yesterday morning. Mostly it was to pick up an item for my secret pal, but I nabbed some Mission Falls since its on clearance and not much left to choose from. Stashworthy and all that ;)  I got one skein of Elspeth Lavold Silky Wool for a Branching Out scarf and it will be a Christmas gift (not saying who just yet!) And also got some Encore DK for a baby sweater. I was so close to buying Cashsoft dk for the baby sweater, but I really want it to be machine washable.

So...theres my mini update. I'm off to put on snuggly warm jammies, slippers, grab a cup of tea, a box of tissues, and knit in front of the tv.

Around a year ago on this day..

hope U and yours feel better soon.!
Being the knitting lass that U are, I am sure that U have used Encore before, but if not, I am sure U will like it. I am not for wool in any way, but that actually felt good to me and was easy to work. Probably ’cause of all that synthetic garbage (as someone we both know would call it). I have plans to get some more of it when we go back to Southport.

Feel better, feeling pretty run down over here also. Felt a cold coming on on Friday, and decided to pretend not to be sick and hit the fair and the concert anyway…will I never learn…LOL!

Lots of tea, lots of rest and dont forget to knit :-)
