Thank you
October 10th, 2005A big thank you friends, family and random blog surfers for responding to my call! I do feel better!
Despite my not blogging about it, I fell into a funk for a few days. You know that sort of funk where you can barely do the dishes and get out of your pj's much less pick up your knitting needles and pay attention to cable and lace charts. Well, I seem to have snapped out of it. Actually, I forced myself out of it. The result? I started the much talked about, and heavily resisted by myself, Clapotis. I bought up some KnitPicks Andean Silk in the "prairie" colorway. Hindsight? The green is overpowering. A progress pic should go up some time tonight. For those that have done Clapotis before (I have to think few knitters remain who have NOT done this scarf!) I am on the third repeat of Section two...so a long way from done and already three skeins into my nine total in Prairie (I bought this yarn specifically for Clapotis)
I gotta say, this yarn is da bomb. Heavenly soft, a dream to knit, and not splitty. I have three skeins of Andean Silk in olive, from my very first knitpicks.com order (last year I think?) I took one and casted on Branching Out. I think two skeins will do it for this scarf.
So...instead of wrapping up projects, I've added more to the pile. But....its helped pull me out of "the funk"
Pictures later (after night time kidlet routine) if I forget...harrass me!
