You guessed it...
Its still raining!

And the cosmic forces continue to play jokes on me. Last night, my beloved GE Prodigy washer, started acting up. It makes all sorts of knocks and bangs when it tries to go into the spin cycle, accompanied by what appears to be a power surge. Really. With each "knock" sound the lights dim and brighten again, then dim and brighten. Imagine a really slow strobe light. If its what we think it is, it may still be under warranty. But we won't know until I call someone to come out and look at it. Its only 5 years old. And for as much as this thing cost us, it should not be doing this.
And our wireless router bit the dust yesterday. Just up and stopped working. Since the cable modem comes into the house in a place where the computer can't be, we rely on the router to get both the PC and my ibook online. So, we had to go buy another one. Ok, so it lived its life. When we bought it, it was when wireless routers still cost a small fortune. We were able to pick up another for 60 bucks. But 60 bucks, is 60 bucks.
*SIGH*
Really...when will we catch a break? Its been one freaking thing after another since we moved here.
Are you listening cosmic forces? I could really use the mental break. Say maybe a month without anything bad happening/nothing breaking/no one getting sick/diagnosed with lifelong disease/death in the family/incompetant boss firing anyone/floods/car accidents? Wait, how about you cut me some slack til after Christmas? I'd really appreciate it!
