Saturday, and more Mahj
November 12th, 2005Richard's parents arrived safely. The train was an hour late of course, but thanks to Janet for the heads up on Amtrak's tendency to run late. We were able to check the status online and Richard got there to pick them up as it was pulling in to the station.
The kids were very excited to see NaNa and PaPa and boy did they keep them busy yesterday! "Look at this Nana!" and "I can read THIS Papa!" Even Connor was a little show off and flirt.
We took it easy yesterday since they didn't sleep much on the train, had an early dinner, watched "Christmas With The Kranks" then headed off to bed.
Today is another relaxing day. For me its cleaning day, mostly just tidy up stuff since tomorrow my family is coming for our big birthday dinner celebration (and you all know..I have a huge family!)
And here is the "mahj mavens" picture since I got everyone's permission. This was taken back in August . From left to right, Paula, myself, Janet, and Sue. Missing obviously was Nan, who was the picture taker.
And speaking of Nan, she is somewhat of a celebrity! Her Mah Jong Notes are the top return if you google mah jong directions!
If your interested in learning to play mah jong, check em out!
I'm hoping to post later this afternoon with knitting content. I've almost finished the drop stitch Colinette scarf (will be gifted to my Aunt Marlene for her birthday) Again, I have to say, I'm pleasantly surprised with tape yarn.
Around a year ago on this day..
