Dropped Hints
December 28th, 2005
Just as my sisters both dropped hints for hand knit Christmas gifts, my dad followed suit. Actually, after we exchanged gifts, the conversation went a little like this:
DAD: Wow, Carla, I thought for sure I'd get something knit by you.
ME: Dad, I didn't know what to make you. Guys are hard to knit for.
DAD: Even a scarf?
SO...I took that as a hint. A big one. Since my dad is a Harley Davidson enthusiast, and a Deadhead, I dyed up some Fishermen's Wool this morning in a colorway I'm calling "Touch Of Grey" (just a mix of silver and jet black acid dyes) As you can see, its dry already (gotta love those old fashioned steam radiators! Absolutely fantastic for drying yarn on!) And my chosen pattern is printed: Irish Hiking Scarf. And needle chosen: 16" Addi Turbo US8.
All tools assembled, I'm ready to cast on!

Hmmm…I remember someone’s slippers that were started like two years ago and I don’t think they’ve received them yet.
Now that it’s winter, I would think that some black sheep wool slippers would be nice and warm, but I’m guessing.
