And so it starts
January 8th, 2006We've started the heavy part of the packing. The weeding out of crap to take to Salvation Army (didn't we just do this last year?)
Anyway, we thought we had a glimmer of hope for a day, a better rental, more ideal school district, larger house. But it didn't work out. So my mood took a dive again. I hate that hopeless feeling.
I just want ONE good thing to happen. Just ONE.
I'm sick of bad news.
I'm sick of bad luck.
Around a year ago on this day..

Carla- Even as unappealing a task as packing up may be - maybe you can try to view it from a different angle. You are being forced to “travel light” in this world - which can be a real gift. You are getting rid of everything extraneous (unless you are choosing to bring it along - kind of like the baggage we all like to hang onto.) I am reminded (for a couple reaons) of a favorite Rudyard Kipling quote: …the Cat. He walked by himself, and all places were alike to him.) Do you think we’ll have a chance for a lunch before you leave?

Something good will eventually come out of all this. You’ll see.
