R.I.P. Kodak Easy Share

January 5th, 2006

Well, I've done everything I can think of. I think the problem is the connection of the battery, its just not recognizing it. I can however snap pictures by holding the dock with the camera on it (yeah, you should see that sight!) But it limits how I take pictures. I guess I'll use it that way if I have to until we're able to get a new one.
And I started a pair of socks. I think I've turned into one of those people that must have socks on needles at all times. I mean, it truly does make sense. It makes knitting totally portable. Not that scarf or sweater knitting isn't portable but a small ball of yarn and a sock on the needles, easily fits in my purse or a diaper bag.
Anyway, I chose to start Jaywalkers. Probably because Cara is obsessed with them (hee!) and I need to see what the fuss is about. I cast them on with Opal Petticoat, though its probably not the best yarn for the project considering Petticoat has some self patterning elements in it. However, I'm sick of going into my sock yarn stash and the Petticoat screaming at me "I'm so pretty! Please use me!"
The start of socks does not mean Dad's scarf will be neglected. I'm about 50% through it and I imagine another week of tv watching will finish it up, if not sooner.

Around a year ago on this day..

no, see. Petticoat is bad for the jaywalkers. Send it to me instead. Yes, good plan.

The same thing happened with my last camera — the whole reason I need a new one and have promised to take better care of it than myself.
