So this is where I’ve been…
February 5th, 2006
I got to be head coach of "Team Ryan"!
My sister, Tracy went for her anti-stress test on Tuesday and the baby's fluid was low. So they did a re-check on Thursday and it had gone down yet again, so they admitted her.
The following day, they started induction (and that didn't go quite as well as hoped) so another attempt on Friday night, with pitocin on Saturday morning. After a long day of natural labor, Tracy was the new mom of 6 pound, 1 ounce, 18 and one quarter inch long, Ryan Dennis.
He is absolutely beautiful, and I'm so incredibly proud of her. She labored like a champ! And I have an increased admiration for how incredible Richard was during all of my labors, particularly the last two when I did the whole natural thing. It really is a hard job! But hes here, and I finally got some sleep last night (only 7 hours of sleep combined since Thursday night for me!)
I only took two pictures and my camera seems to have eaten the one of Tracy holding him. So when I see her again (probably not until Monday when she comes home from the hospital) I'll get some more.
