Guess what I was slingin’ today?

March 6th, 2006

A newborn baby Ryan! And I didn't even get a hint of baby lust! I think considering the fact that Cassidy was home from school today, and Connor was his near two year old self, and into everything, that I managed to keep that baby lust bug at bay.
Actually, he was a joy to have around today. Despite a touch of reflux, and suffering some pretty serious gassy issues for the past two days, he was a breeze! But I wouldn't have survived without a sling!
I did manage to snap an odd angled picture of him, in the sling but Richard took the pc to Syracuse, and I'm using my iBook, on which I have no real photo editing software...alas, no pictures.

As for knitting, I haven't done much of that for the past few days. Surprised? Yeah, so am I. But its just been too hectic to concentrate much on it.

The first leg of the move is complete, and mostly without incident...but you know, something had to happen, right? Its like the planets won't align if Richard and Carla don't have to deal with some sort of moving mishap. In this particular move, the truck sort of started to slide at the top of our driveway (our house is on a hill, with a narrow steep driveway), and got a teensy bit wedged. There was no getting it out without either sliding into the house, or taking out our light pole. In the end, the truck was unwedged after a speedy trip to Home Depot where Richard became the new owner of a "comealong", which ultimately was fixed to a tree in our yard, and helped free the truck.
But you know what made it all better? Joe & Janet made it over to the house before Richard got there, and left a box of Dunkin' Donuts and some words of encouragement, like "Syracuse Rocks!" (Thanks, Joe & Janet!)

Richard's first day at the new office was today, and from everything I'm told...it went exceptionally well. Yay Richard!

In ending...blogging sure is boring without pictures! It will be nice to get a new camera soon, and be able to actually use non-blurry-from-the-wonky-camera sort of pictures!

Around a year ago on this day..

Come-alongs are a must! We have three. You never know when they will come in handy. Glad to see things are moving (hahahah) along nicely. welcome back to CNY!
Come visit the sheep before anytime after you get settled. Some will be gone as they get sold or whatever but not until another month or so has passed.
