Pictureless
April 17th, 2006Its been a busy few days. A lot of spinning, minimal knitting (only in the car on the way to PA and back. Ok, four hours isn't minimal) But I lack the pictures at the moment to document any progress at all.
Instead, I wanted to post about Brokeback Mountain.
Wow.
Yeah, thats about all I can say.
I had read on a friend's blog months ago, after she had seen it in the theatre, how it left her feeling afterwards (for days), so I sort of knew what to expect.
I was wrong. It affected me much more than I anticipated. I don't think I'll ever be able to hear the theme music again without getting weepy. It is without a doubt, a beautiful, yet absolutely heartbreaking, love story. Only a few movies have left me sobbing. This was one of them.
Around a year ago on this day..

DD and I keep going to the vid rental place to get this, and they keep not having it. Grrr. Everyone in town must want to see it.

Oh it destroyed us too. Everytime I think about it it knocks the breath out of me. It’s such a beautiful love story. Arent we lucky that we live in a time where our children can grow up to be who they are?
Heath Ledger was AMAZING!!!!!

I had high hopes for this movie, but honestly I was a little disappointed. However, I’m glad to see that the movie is making such an impression, and hopefully the people who NEED to see this movie see it.
