Taking The Long Way

TakingthelongwayIn case you live under a rock, and missed the massive attention this cd release has gotten, Dixie Chicks - Taking The Long Way was released yesterday.
Consider buying it and supporting three brave women who used their right of free speech, and were treated to death threats by Bush supporting turds. Turds who, not only were whacked too many times with the stupid stick but were born with it stuck up their arses. Death threats, how um.. original.
I'm not a country fan, by any definition, but I adore these women, and have since the first time I saw/heard them in 1998, promoting Wide Open Spaces.
Even if you don't dig em, gift to a friend or family member.
Its about free speech.

    You read my mind. I don’t like country music but I definitely want to pick up their album to support them. I think they’re great.

    I bought the CD first thing yesterday morning (the release date) and it’s excellent. Really good stuff!

    I just went over to Amazon.com and ordered my copy. I’m not a country fan either but the Chicks really are more on the end of pop crossover. One of my faves is “White Trash Wedding” … always make me smile!

    I uploaded their stuff from itunes the other day. I normally wouldn’t, but I felt like I was doing something political by doing it. Yeah for them!

    Is that not the best CD? I absolutely adore it.. and them!

    I applaud Natalie, Emily and Marty for speaking their mind and sticking to it!

    I heard that their CD sold more the first week than any other country debut this year. Beat the snot out of Toby Keith and his stupid self!
