It rained yesterday. A.whole.lot.of.rain.

Images taken from our enclosed side porch, during only one of the freakish downpours we experienced yesterday. Even with all the rain we had a few weeks ago, our basement stayed dry. Not yesterday! All the work I had planned to do outside this week, will now be all the more messy, what with all the freaking MUD yesterday's rain created.
I did venture out in the weather yesterday a few times. First to take Dylan to the pediatrician, where we came home with some prescriptions and more instructions for handling the lesions, particularly on his face. And by last night it had creeped into his scalp, ears and other more uncomfortable areas. Seriously, all you can say is "poor kid". The meds are working well though. I noticed an improvement within a few hours of his first dose. So hopefully he'll clear up quickly.

I also had to make a post office run since my mailman apparently did not want to get out of the dry environment of his mail truck to bring my Secret Pal's package to the door.
And oh what treasures resided inside! A lace shawl pattern, two balls of Jaegerspun Zephyr (which I've never been able to find in the wild!), and all sorts of Japanese sweet goodness. As you can see, some have already been not only opened, but completely consumed (the kids really enjoyed the filled marshmallow candies!). You were right SP, the chocolate is to die for, and I've only tried the milk chocolate. I have yet to dip into the dark! Thank you SP.. you rock
As for actual knitting.. I'm a few rows shy of grafting the toe of sock number two for Nichole. Today most definitely. I got most of it done last night watching Weeds, Season One, Disc One. Great series! Thanks so much Krissy for the recommendation! Can't wait for disc two now!
