Weekend roundup (with new toys!)
July 10th, 2006
Outdated, yes? New to us, yes!
We went down to PA for the weekend for my baby brother's graduation party and my brother Dennis, not only remembered the cord I needed for the Sony Cybershot they gave me (yay!) but also brought his Xbox for the kids. He finally got his XBox 360 saga worked out (pre-order, broken console, second broken console, finally months later, one that works!) So his beloved Xbox now resides next to our tv. He brought along the only two kid friendly games he had, football and basketball, so we stopped at Blockbuster on the way home and bought Finding Nemo and Sponge Bob games for them (and Burnout3 for me and Richard.. we became addicted to this game playing it on my little brother's Playstation!)
I tweaked my left wrist last week between knitting and my tantruming toddler, so Nichole's first sock was slow going. I did seam up the toe on the way to PA, and got most of the ankle done as well. On the way home yesterday I finished the heel, and am working away on the foot. Hopefully I can get it done by week's end and mail this out to her since my original plan was to have the pair done by the time we went down for Jay's party (really, we're already a month past her birthday!)
And some Connor Cuteness for your Monday. Really its just nice being able to take a picture of him that isn't all blurry.
Lately it seems his face changes daily.. but his eyes, wow, those eyes, his daddy's eyes. Almond shaped with incredibly long lashes.. <melt>

I have found that it helps to avoid looking at the “wonder eyes” when the answer is “no”. Otherwise, it’s always “yes” :0 Bailey has eyes like that.

Video games can be so addictive! I play them every once and a while. Mr.V plays them constantly. If you’re looking for a more family-friendly game console I’ve been told that Nintendo is the way to go. They should be releasing their new console soon, and they have a new controller design which should be easier for children to use. Plus, they’re not as expensive as X-Box and Playstation.
