Queue music.. "Its the most wonderful time of the year" (stolen from the Staples commercial, or is it Office Max?)

I feel guilty. I really do. But boy oh boy, were they ready to return to school. They've been counting down for a month now. And the excitement kicked up a notch over this past week with last minute preparations like clothes and school supply shopping.

Despite our family's bad luck over this summer, we managed to have a lovely one. Now we can look forward to next summer.

/a fibery post should come at some point today. I have been knitting, really.
