All politics is local

I was able to be in the studio audience tonight for the Dan Maffei Jim Walsh Debate (US Congress NY-25)
Because it was held at the TV station where my honey works, and because he was so nice to ask around to see if I could be in the audience... I was able to attend. What fun!
And not because I'm a Maffei supporter, but because I truly believe it.. Maffei kicked Walsh's arse tonight. Walsh used much of his time blabbing on and on, using total fluff, sidestepping issues, passing the buck, and making outrageous claims. Like, how after an audience member asked how Congress might address the healthcare crisis in America, Walsh first said there was no healthcare crisis, then started patting himself on the back for helping build children's hospitals, and emergency rooms, and so on, and so forth. Excuse me congressman, there is no shortage of actual health care facilities, however there IS a shortage of affordable health insurance for working families!
If the mood in the studio is any sort of barometer, Walsh is going to get a pink slip soon. Out of touch means out of a job Mr Walsh!
