WOOO HOOO!

Goodness I love Election Night. Its like Christmas Eve and Superbowl Sunday wrapped into one for someone like me.

Polls don't close here in New York for another half hour, so no local results for a while. But when I went to vote at 6PM, the lady working my district's table said turnout was "unusually high for a midterm election". As of 6PM they were already nearing 60% turnout which is unheard of.

But, lets get to the really important intent of this post..

As I admitted over the summer, I voted for Rick Santorum a long long time ago in his first run for the senate. Its a dark, dark shame I've carried with me for over a decade. Mostly because of Santorum, I became a very partisan democrat who will never (ever) vote for another republican...
Well good golly.. my decade of shame is now over! Bob Casey wins! Now I'm thinking good thoughts for my home district, PA -10, hoping clear heads got out to vote to get rid of Don Sherwood.
Buh Bye Rick. See Ya! And yay Pennsylvania! Way to go!

    Wooo Hooo!! From one Dem to another…YAY!! What do you think of the results now that they are out?? I’m loving it but wish a *few* more Tennesseans had cast their votes towards Ford. But I’m pleased with how things have gone so far.

    Congratulations! These elections finally change the bad image the US have over here in Germany. My favourite radio station has no other subject to talk about than the results and what will probably be the consequences of this change (which will surely affect us).

    Hooray for no more Santorum! Frankly the guy scared me. I’m so glad this state is turning blue again.

    I am so glad PA kicked Santorum to the curb. Even though I now live in Chicago, a hotbed of questionable politics/politicians in its own right, the ousting of Santorum got a big cheer in my house!
