Mucho mistakes, but hey.. the kids all want one now! Since I couldn't get my printer to print the chart properly, I just colored it out on some graph paper. At the crown, I was so concerned with loosely stranding once I switched to DPNs that I totally forgot about the color changes in that line of stitches that "frame" each section. As if that even helped because I still have some stranding issues. But what the hell.. its not bad for a first "serious" attempt at fair isle.
Additionally, I cast on provisionally using the crochet chain method. This caused some serious spacing of stitches (see how the bottom bells out?) It won't fit my brother's gargantuan melon sized head though (its intended recipient) I guess I'll go up a needle size on the next one.

Your hat is awesome! I love it! So much better than mine! Did you block it? I usually just iron mine to get it to look flatter.

It looks blue in the photo, but I know it is grey. LOVE IT!
