Goodbye Molly…

I was feeling better.. then I heard word that Molly Ivins passed away this evening after a long battle with breast cancer. I cannot tell you how this saddens me. I could opine endlessly how Molly's columns over the years have made me laugh and cry, but I truly lack words right now.

    How sad to hear this news! I loved reading Molly Ivins’ columns. She was so funny, caustic, real, and a true liberal. In fact, I think she may have been one of the only people I’ve ever “known” from Texas who I could relate to - and liked! (What a terrible thing to say after reading her kind words of departure to her readers at the Texas Observer when she left for the NY Times… sorry Molly! It was just a wise crack born of sadness.) Nice tribute, Carla.
