Surprise Beauty…
January 5th, 2007Today I noticed the mailman partially pull into the driveway, and that can only mean one thing - a package! Sure enough, he walked up my front steps with a package in his arms (and he grabbed the empty recycling bin from the curb, how nice of him!). I didn't recognize the address and had to quickly on the spot try to remember if I had ordered anything or bought anything on eBay that I forgot about. Nope.. I was sure I hadn't. But what a surprise to find inside, a lovely hand written thank you note, and stunning hand made quilt from Roger's Step Mother and Dad! Surely you have to know that I most definitely cried...

Thank you Lyn and Roger. Taking care of Owen was a welcome obligation.

BEAUTIFUL! Seeing that quilt and reading those sentiments brought tears to my eyes! Later-

PS You will have to tell me some time how you can trackdown IP addresses of those who view blogs. I am using blogspot so I am not sure it is the same… and I am newbie yet. But not for long with a friend like you!

Lyn rocks!! She makes the most beautiful stuff, all powered with love. Llam, I will send a photo of the “treasure chest” full of handmade wooden building blocks that Dad made Owen for Christmas this year.
Love to all Martins and dirty glowers to creepy leetle trolls!

How lovely to have a tangible reminder of well how your family has been taking care of each other over the last few months.

What a beautiful quilt, and well deserved too. I’m sure they will always be thankful.
