Back “home”

February 24th, 2007

We're back in snowy cold upstate NY after our trip south. I got to hang with the Llamie (yay!), have breakfast with my cosmic bruddah, Padraic, whom I've not spent any time with in over a decade (sheeeeit thats a long time!) and Richard had two fabulous and lonnnng, intensive corporate interviews. Hopefully we'll have some good news soon.

As for "road knitting", I managed to finish the baby blue Calmer shedir while I was at Kris' house. And I started another, this one in a coral pink Calmer. I took along the needles and yarn to start the Lotus Blossom tank from last years Summer Interweave Knits, though I never got to it.

Its always so depressing coming back to a home that you only moderately like, and a city you honestly despise. That and I wish I had more time to hang with the Llamie - maybe we'll have more time and soon.

Now off to wade through too much email, and catch up on my blog reading. Didn't y'all know that when I go away, you are absolutely not allowed to post anything? I seriously have about 500 posts to read in my bloglines account!

Around a year ago on this day..

    Hi Carla:

Didn’t realize that you were headed out for the interviews this week. Hope they went really well and that you had a great trip!

Welcome home. Home is where you are! I hope you hear some good news soon and that home will be somewhere close to Kris next move.
