Brrrr, its cold outside!
February 5th, 2007Brrrrrr! Its so cold outside that school was canceled this morning - And its a good thing, as a forecasted -17 degree wind chill is not good for human beings! So we're bundled up inside, and I plan to do some baking this afternoon to warm up the kitchen. Some baked mac and cheese for dinner, and probably a coffee cake or something to snack on.
We had a pretty un-eventful weekend, thankfully (no firemen or squirrel mishaps!) and I even braved the cold winds yesterday to attend the monthly spinning guild meeting.
Last week, I did finish up the sleeves for Rogue, even washing them and laying them flat to dry. I plan to block with my trusty Rowenta once the body of the sweater is done. I mistakenly thought I only had about 20 rows to finish on the hood. Rather I had about 50 when I picked it up again. As of Saturday morning, I only have about 30 rows to go. I see light at the end of the tunnel!

And my Super Sneaky Secret Pal sent her reveal package! What a treat! All hand made goodies! She is Liz at The Crazed Weasel and she is one amazing woman in so many ways. Read her blog, and you'll know why!
I looooove the noro scarf.. I've practically slept in it since I opened the package. Amazing Fetching mitts, They Call Them Pirates mittens, and ORANGE self striping sock yarn! Thank you Liz! I feel SO pampered! (Sorry 'bout the blurry picture! I have a pretty bad headache today and apparently it has affected my picture taking abilities!)

So off I go to cuddle up in my chair with some knitting and a cup of tea. BRRRRRR!

I guess I should stop bitching about the fact that it was 9 degress in Bx this morning. I think the windchill was only about 0 so obviously I’m a wuss;)
I love those Rogue sleeves. I’m dying to make myself one. I think that will be a reward once I slide down past 200 lbs (should that ever happen).

Ooh brrrrrrrr that is cold. That is one of the reasons I didn’t want to move all the way back up to NY. LOL! Stay bundled.

Your Rogue is looking fabulous — what are you using for yarn? I have plans to knit one this winter in apple green Cascade 220.
