But its not a blizzard?

February 14th, 2007

WARNING - Picture heavy post!
We're not under a blizzard warning. Instead its a "heavy snow warning" - boohockey, I say! If this isn't a blizzard, I'm not sure what is!
It started snowing last night around 8PM, just as the kids and I were getting in the car to come home from Alex's first grade play/concert. By this morning, it looked like a foot on the ground, by lunchtime, 2 feet. And its still snowing - with a forecast of a possible three feet (not to mention the additional lake effect crumminess to follow on this nor'easter's heels)

I just looked outside and its getting heavier - and the winds are kicking up, plunging our already frigid temperature (the high today is 11) further down. The windchill forecast for tomorrow is -15. Bleh!
Needless to say, trip has been canceled, and being re-scheduled! So without further waiting, today in pictures ... (click the images for a larger view!)

Wow! I haven’t seen so much snow in my life. This is impressive. I’ll show the pics to my son later…

Looks like a blizzard to me! Here’s hoping spring arrives extra early in your neck of the woods this year.

In my opinion, anything that leaves you stranded at home for the third consecutive day with four children qualifies as a blizzard.
