Guess what?

February 10th, 2007

I've printed off Pumpkinmama's grafting chart and have it at the ready. Then I'll start seaming sleeves and sewing up hems. Now this is light at the end of the tunnel!

And thats it for my Saturday post since I've done nothing but knit on Rogue. You'd think I'd have had those last 20 rows done fairly quickly (like by noon!), however I misplaced page 9 of the pattern, leaving out the back of the hood shaping. Wanna guess what that meant? RIP! I had to rip back the final 12 rows of the chart and do it all over, the right way.

In any case.. all knitting is done and we're in the homestretch!

ETA:

The picture is a tad dark, but the flash did the opposite - totally washing it out. If you look close enough, you can see the grafting line. Admitedly, I pulled the stitches a teensy bit too tight at the beginning, but I think once washed and blocked, it will be hardly noticeable. Since the picture, I've also grafted the back of the hood, woven in all ends, pressed all peices and have started to seam the sleeve seams. Hopefully by the end of today, I'll have the sleeves actually ON the sweater.

I've discovered a few things I'd do differently if I ever make another Rogue - and I'll mention them when I show the finished sweater.

Around a year ago on this day..
