Rogue
February 19th, 2007

As I mentioned last week when I announced finishing Rogue, there are a few things I would do differently if I ever made another one. I'm a little disappointed with the shaping at the top/back of the hood, it just looks messy to me. I kept thinking as I was knitting it that short rows might work - maybe they would? In my mind it would look cleaner, not to mention being able to eliminate that section on the hood where you need to graft live stitches to the sides of the hood cable panels, which was a real pain. And I would definitely make the torso longer, since its a bit short on me. But since I knit it to be close fitting, the shorter body length seems to be appropriate. Modeled shots at some point in the future, just not anytime soon.
Pattern: Rogue
Yarn: Briggs & Little Heritage in the color "grape"
Needles: Addi Turbo 32" US5 and US8 for the body and hood. Clover Takumi US5 and US8 straights for the sleeves.

I know we all see little flaws in our own projects that we’d like to fix. but from where I’m sitting Rogue looks perfect! Congrats on a beautiful knit.

It looks beautiful. I have this idea that because shirt lengths have gotten longer in the last year, so have sweater lengths, and anything written more than a year ago doesn’t reflect this.
Fortunately, I haven’t knit (or at least, finished) any sweaters in the past year. But I am working on a Ribby Cardi, and I added quite a bit to the body. I’m so tired of my back fat showing every time I bend over….
So when do we get to see Rogue on the model?

First, I’d like to point out that Jessie has NO back fat and she needs to shaddup ;op
Your Rogue is beautiful!! I love the colors!
