How could I resist?
March 28th, 2007
How could I resist a big pile of fibery goodness with the name "Georgia O'Keeffe"? Really? Come on now. This is me we're talking about.
Jessie opened up her new shop (most of you know shes not new, shes been around for a while, but she has a new cart and lots of new products). So I followed the new link from her blog and what did I see? Weeeeee... Georgia inspired Real Vermonter roving (60/30/10 romney-corrie wool/mohair/alpaca)
It arrived yesterday (wow, quick flight from VT to NY!) and I immediately took a picture of it next to my framed print of "Red Canna" though Jessie was probably thinking of one of Georgia's poppy prints when she dyed this. (I love my small collection of Georgia O'Keeffe framed prints. These are so special to me, since my Dad took an old Georgia calendar that I bought at the Metropolitan Museum of Art back in the early 90s, and once the year was used up, he matted and framed them for me.)
Thank you Jessie.. I can't wait to finally finish the Columbia fleece on my wheel and get this started!

Simply gorgeous just like Georgia’s works! You’re a lucky girl to have scored that one! You know I grew up in NM and visited GO’s home (up around Taos) several times…so lovely, so peaceful! If you ever have a chance to go jump!

You know, I think I spelled “O’Keeffe” wrong because my SIL is an O’Keefe with just the one “f.”
You are too kind to display it next to the artist’s own work. Enjoy!
