Trekking towards the finish line

March 6th, 2007

Nearing the finish line, and I'd actually be done by now if there wasn't this little job that I'm busy with 24/7 called mothering.

Surprisingly, I did excellent matching up the pattern for the start of the second sock. And I averted tragedy in the second sock when I found a knot that was not matched to the pattern, but was able to rip nearly a whole repeat of pattern out and splice in at the correct place. Note: freakin' yarn makers, puhleese, if you sell self patterning yarn, and you need to have a join/knot, for the love of pete, please make sure the pattern continues uninterrupted!

Not much else going on with the tribe today besides a day off of school (snow? bitter cold? take your pick!)

Around a year ago on this day..

Those are fun! I picked up a couple new balls of Trekking recently, love the stuff.

Summer can’t come soon enough! Except then the kids will be home full-time. Not that it’s a BAD thing …

Great colors. And your pub post made me want to take up knitting! (I’ll start with transparent yarn…)
