Ready to give
April 5th, 2007Soaked, pinned, blocked, dry, ready to give to Gram. I am absolutely tickled with how it came out, although I admit I could have stretched it a bit more in the width but I ran out of room (mental note: buy another foam letter puzzle - speaking of which, this is a very cheap alternative to a blocking board!)
Worth mentioning.. the pattern details 6-7 repeats. I went with 6 because of time restraints, but I'm glad I did or it might be too large, even though I'm of the opinion that a shawl can never be "too large"

I LOVE it, Carla — so gorg! I’m thinking of buying that foam for a blocking board — looks like a good thing to use.

Lovely. Took the morning shiver off just looking at it. Thanks for tagging me with the meme. Most of the blogs I read are private… but I will tag 5 others and do my post this weekend.

I love the foam squares for blocking, it’s a brilliant idea!

That shawl is just gorgeous. It looks so delicate yet so warm. The color is beautiful. Good job!
Love the alternate use for the foam puzzle.
