On to seaming

July 11th, 2007

I trudged through last night, despite the heat and sweaty hands/sticky cotton issue, to the point of binding off. Now all I need to do is wash, block, seam and sew up the picot edge. Oh, and cast on the matching hat and booties. But since my knitting plate is pretty full for the next couple of weeks, I'm going to put this on hold. I think I'll still have plenty of time to finish up the set and get it to Wisconsin in time.

When I finished the knitting of the baby kimono last night, I was still too hot to fall asleep. So I dug a ball of Cotton Ease from my stash (in my favorite color!) and proceeded to cast on this market bag from The Purl Bee. Ashley blogged her finished bag yesterday and totally inspired me. Actually I'd love to blame it on the adorable baby IN the bag as the inspiration, but truly, I just needed a fast portable project and this really fits the bill.

Around a year ago on this day..

There must be something in the air. I spent most of yesterday knitting the Saturday Market Bag from Magknits. Maybe it’s Farmer’s Market season? I’m just finishing up the handle on mine now.

The kimono is adorable. Have much baby knitting to do msyelf.

Wow. Those are really cute! I never had much talent with knitting…I remember I used to cheat on my home economics class by having mine done by someone else just so I’d pass. Eek.

I loove knitting! I’d make lil bags and give them as gifts for friends, and centerpiece rugs for our home in the Philippines. It’s fun. I miss knitting though. it’s been a long time. did you make that first pic up there? sooo cute! I love the combination of colors, too! anyways before I forget you’ve been tagged:
