Shockingly, I’m not shocked.

I'm angry. But I'm not shocked. Nothing that Bush does or says anymore surprises me. However it doesn't make it right. Richard and I were talking earlier tonight about it and we both agree on something - Impeachment. Democrats have been saying "impeachment is off the table" because "he isn't worth it". Leader Pelosi? You know what is worth it? Our country. The rule of law. Just because this jackass has only 18 months left in office, doesn't dismiss everything thats been done. Its about doing the right thing. Quit being spineless and lazy.
Bush said in his statement:
My decision to commute his prison sentence leaves in place a harsh punishment for Mr. Libby. The reputation he gained through his years of public service and professional work in the legal community is forever damaged. His wife and young children have also suffered immensely. He will remain on probation. The significant fines imposed by the judge will remain in effect. The consequences of his felony conviction on his former life as a lawyer, public servant, and private citizen will be long-lasting.
So Valerie Plame hasn't suffered? Her children? Or how about the undercover agents Valerie Plame Wilson was working with. All of their lives (as well as ours seeing as they were working on WMD) were put in danger.
Furthermore... That little issue of the Clinton impeachment, which republicans like to repeat over and over, is that it was not about a sexual indiscretion but rather lying under oath, and obstruction of justice. Serious high crimes they yelled! But one of their own does it... is indicted by a republican, tried by a republican and even reviewed by a republican appeals board.... *sigh* then its all political theater, right? Thats what we're to believe?
I don't often agree with Hillary Clinton, but tonight I do..
"Today's decision is yet another example that this Administration simply considers itself above the law. This case arose from the Administration's politicization of national security intelligence and its efforts to punish those who spoke out against its policies. Four years into the Iraq war, Americans are still living with the consequences of this White House's efforts to quell dissent. This commutation sends the clear signal that in this Administration, cronyism and ideology trump competence and justice."

I figured I’d let you take this one (as I knew you would). I get so angry I can’t be bothered blogging this stuff anymore or it ruins my day. Every day I say how can it possibly get worse, yet every day it does. I wonder how the covert CIA agents currently at work for their country feel. Comfortable in their anonymity? I think not. Bush and Cheney and cronies are pure evil. In our lifetimes the damage done here and all over the world will not be repaired. And the dems…..well they are pretty useless as a whole. Bloomberg for president?

Don’t you just want to spit tacks. Funny how lying under oath, and obstruction of justice over a blow job is worse than lying under oath, and obstruction of justice for like actually breaking a law by outing an undercover agent. I cannot wait to hear Keith Olbermann’s special commentary tonight.
