Gifted

August 29th, 2007

So we had our last session with Miss Suzi. She received and loved her gift. Sigh. We will greatly miss her.

We now have about a week off before we start twice a week speech and twice a week OT, both with new therapists.

Its always wonderful to give a hand knit gift and have it so appreciated. Its hotter than hell today, and she wore them nearly the entire time she was here.

The stats (again)

Pattern: Knitty's Fetching

Yarn: Cashmere Luxury Aran

Needles: Crystal Palace 6" US6 DPNs

Edited to add, because Dana asked.. I omitted the picot bind-off. I've left it on previous pairs, but was always unhappy with how it sort of bloomed out and rolled (I've read other knit bloggers point this out as well when completing this pattern)

I said I would get out the wheel today (and I haven't yet.)

Like I said, its pretty hot and humid. I may hold out until tomorrow to work on that.

Around a year ago on this day..

Fetching looks lovely. Did you do the picot edging or not?

What a nice gift. They look so soft and inviting to wear, I don’t blame her for putting them on to wear even in the heat!
