What we did today..

August 4th, 2007

So after making the post office run to get my sockapalooza socks on their way, we packed up and headed north to Sandy Island Beach State Park. What a beautiful spot! And better, the kids had a blast. The waves were big (but not too big) and the water surprisingly warm. We had such a fabulous time, we're thinking about going again next weekend when Jill, Danny, Jay and the kids come to visit.

I also played a lot with my new camera. I took at least 150 pictures and 90% of them are amazing good. I'll have to work on cutting down the file size a bit, then upload them to my coppermine gallery or maybe even my flickr account. This one is among my favorites though. If you can't tell, thats Dylan and Alex way out on the dune jumping the waves.

Make the jump into the extended entry for a cute vid of Connor.

Looks like fun. Great pic…enjoy that camera. I had to back track and read the last few entries since I’ve been full-time post-op caregiver here…sorry to hear you were all exposed to HFM…YUCK!! Morgan had that when I was pregnant with Alex and it was horrific.

What a great day! Nothing is more fun than watching little kids at the beach. Great pics. I’m glad you went there so I could see it a bit. I haven’t explored that park yet but I grew up going to my Grandparents camp on Sandy Pond South. ( a smaller pond nearby Sandy Pond) There was a sand dune dividing it from Lake Ontario and we used to canoe to it and cross over to swim in the lake. Lots of great memories. I’m going to have to pack up the kids and check it out.
