Hi y'all.
I found out tonight that my hosting service is moving to a new server over the next few days. And because the asshole who initially registered my domain 5 years ago (the company I originaly hosted with, not my current host) is an official reseller for names4ever.com, I have been unable to get into change my nameserver settings (registry number and password lost in the PC's hard drive death)
Well screw him, AND names4ever (for not helping me get in and insisting I try to contact the reseller who never answers emails).. I went ahead and transferred my .com domain. In addition I bought mylittletribe.net AND mylittletribe.org. So the transferring domain (.com) will very likely have some downtime. But since .net and .org should be resolving by the end of the weekend, you can expect those to have less downtime (maybe just a day as I switch nameservers and reinstall wordpress and all backups)
Wish me luck!

When we left my mom's house on Sunday, Connor had a mere sniffly nose. Within 24 hours, he sounded like a barking seal. So, since things apparently were not bad enough here, that cold decided to develop into something severe. About 3AM early Tuesday morning, Connor woke up breathing with great difficulty. So off to the ER we went!
Chest x-ray showed a cloudy spot on his right lung, and his white count was way up there, so he was admitted. Within a few respiratory treatments, and some IV hydration, he was doing much better. He was discharged this morning by our pediatrician and we're doing the same things at home (neb treatments, steroids, antibiotics)
OY!
I could really use some pina coladas and a sandy beach about right now.

From CBS
Sept. 26, 2005
6:44 p.m.
(CBS) — CBS News correspondent Gloria Borger reports that
Michael Brown, who recently resigned as the head of the FEMA, has been
rehired by the agency as a consultant to evaluate it's response
following Hurricane Katrina.
Can you say worst.administration.ever ? Really, WTF?

I see the Secret Pal 6 survey is up.
The questions, and answers, are in the post continuation...

CNN, just had a "breaking news" report from Time. Apparently Michael Brown's online bio contains false information. You don't say! This has only been circulating the blogs for what, a week now?
Cronyism Kills Y'all. Last week was the proof.
edited to add this link to the Time article
I have to say, upon first hearing/reading this, I felt some relief, that FINALLY, perhaps a reason for last week's breakdown. But nope..that rage fired right back up. Too bad this wasnt found out BEFORE Katrina, and thousands, THOUSANDS of Americans would be alive today.
Cronyism Kills

So I got this email from Krissy yesterday. Reminding me that The Great Blue Heron Music Festival is coming up, and how we should drop off the kids at mom's and meet she and Rog for the weekend. Of course we are!
Anyway, I realized a little bit after that email that we are back on the east coast. Do you know what that means? Music festivals..and plenty of them! Can you say twirl girl? weeeeeeee!
Not only the Heron...but the Fingerlakes Grassroots Festival. Unfortunately this one conflicts with my sister Jill's wedding. And no I can't skip it...I'm the matron of honor (ok ok..its not like I would skip it anyway!)
Then there is Camp Creek, which I totally forgot about! And oh oh...The Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival (ya gotta see the lineup for that one!)
Not to mention moe. is going to be at Montage Mtn in Scranton in August. And then moe.down is early September.
I think I could seriously have a full twirling schedule all summer long!
Ok, see what your missing Llamie? Move your butt back up north! Come twiiiirrrrllll with me!
